Welcome to the online home of Mountaineer Area RoboticS (MARS), FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC®) Team 2614. We are based in Morgantown, West Virginia, and draw our students from the two local high schools, other local area schools and those who are home schooled. We were founded in 2008 by lead mentors Earl Scime and Phil Tucker, and since then have qualified for FRC World Championship® three years out of four. Mountaineer Area RoboticS (MARS), FIRST ® Team 2614, is your local high school robotics team. MARS has been busy building our fifth robot, marVin, to compete in this year’s FIRST® Robotics Competition season. The robot is designed to play Rebound RumbleSM, a basketball type game that involves collecting balls, shooting baskets, and balancing on a rocking bridge.
Come see marVin in action before we pack and ship him for this year’s competition season.
