The MARS Team competed at the Pittsburgh Regional and the Palmetto Regional in 2009. At both events, MARS won the Rockwell Automation Innovation in Controls Award for their awesome control system that included vision and ultrasound range feedback to the drivers, a traction control system, and real-time acceleration limiting. MARS also made it to the semifinal matches at both events, losing in the third semifinal round at Palmetto in a nailbiter series of matches. At Palmetto MARS also won the safety award for the most safety tokens acquired at the regional.

MARS is already hard at work on the 2010 pre-season. Look for us at summer camps, parades, local charity events, and everywhere someone needs to play with a robot !
