So you want to start a robotics team. The FIRST question to ask is, at what level? If you are a middle school teacher somewhere in North-Central WV, we can help you with direct mentoring in robot building, programming, fund-raising, MINDSTORMS kits, and with other resources. Use the contact form on this website to get in touch with us.
Things our FLL coaches wish they had known about FLL and FLL robots
1) Calibrate your light sensors in base before use
2) NXT internal motor sensors are inaccurate for motor speeds above 75%
3) Lots of space can be saved on the NXT brick by deleting excess files.
If you are a high school teacher (or just a horribly under-busy future mentor) and want to start a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team, we can help with that too. FIRST, eliminate all your hobbies and get ready to have the best time of your life. Second, contact us using the contact form on this website. We will get you started with fund-raising, planning, robot skills development, etc. In the meantime, check out these VERY helpful and important websites.
